Why Composites – Ontario

This session will introduce you to the benefits and challenges of using composites in a variety of products including traditional and novel applications.

In addition, this session will provide:

•An introduction to composite materials and processes
• Case studies of applications of composites in a variety of products in a wide range of industries
• Considerations to keep in mind when evaluating the feasibility of using composites
• Composite design guidelines to keep in mind when working to apply composites to new or existing products

This session is intended for executives, managers and engineers responsible for the design and development of new products especially for applications in vehicles, agriculture, sporting goods, aerospace, energy, corrosion control, infrastructure and industrial applications.

A tour of the Fraunhofer Project Center @ Western University is included.
