Strategic Objectives
- Drive economic growth in targeted composite manufacturing industries with a focus on aerospace, ground vehicles, biocomposites, and structures for industrial, civil, energy and medical applications by executing collaborative projects and providing value added services to clients.
- Create and enhance design, engineering, testing, process development, prototyping, project management, business planning, resource connecting services and skills development for target industries.
- Embrace, develop and excel in applying specific composite technologies towards commercial applications with a focus on automation, filament winding, resin infusion, open moulding, joining and bonding, biocomposites, thermoplastics, nanotechnology, advanced fiber placement, inspection and new composite breakthroughs.
- Create differentiated capabilities which meet client requirements through investment in people, skills, systems, processes, equipment and capital assets.
- Partner with national and global leaders in composite innovation to support the CIC’s vision and mission.
- Lever required government sustained investment to secure industry use of the CIC services resulting in economic development in Manitoba and Western Canada.
- Increase industry and other government investments and pursue synergistic for profit opportunities to reduce dependence on sustained government funding.
